Our Story
Generation Guiders Community-Based Organization was established from a grassroots response to challenges affecting adolescent girls and young women in underserved communities.
Registered on 2012, the organization has developed experience in community-based programming focused on girls’ rights, adolescent health, education, SRHR, gender equality, menstrual health, HIV/AIDS awareness, life skills, leadership and community advocacy.
Our work is rooted in a simple belief:
When girls have knowledge, confidence and opportunities to act, they can become powerful agents of change in their families and communities.
Our Mission
To empower adolescent girls and young people through knowledge, confidence and action, while working with communities to promote health, education, protection, gender equality, rights and meaningful participation.

Tulia Girls School Clubs
Safe spaces where girls can learn, connect and grow.
Tulia Girls School Clubs provide supportive spaces for adolescent girls to access information, mentorship and life-skills education.
Sessions can cover:

The clubs encourage girls to learn from one another and develop confidence to participate in their schools and communities.
Program Objectives
- Provide a safe space for girls to learn and express themselves.
- Educate participants on vital topics such as puberty, menstruation, and self-advocacy.
- Foster leadership skills and build a supportive peer network.
Peer Educator Program
Young people are not only beneficiaries—they are partners in change.
Generation Guiders supports young people to become peer educators and community champions.

Program Objectives
- Equip girls with the skills to educate and support their fellow students.
- Promote healthy behaviors and awareness of sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR).
- Encourage a culture of peer support and empowerment within school communities.
Sanitary Pad Distribution
Menstruation should never limit a girl’s dignity or opportunity.
Our Menstrual Health & Hygiene work combines information, community awareness and practical support.
Activities may include:
- Menstrual health education
- Puberty education
- Sanitary pad support
- Dignity support
- School and community awareness
- Addressing stigma and misconceptions
Our goal is to help girls manage menstruation safely, confidently and with dignity.
Program Objectives
- Reduce absenteeism among girls in school due to menstruation.
- Promote awareness about menstrual hygiene management and health.
- Empower girls to feel more confident and empowered during their menstrual periods.
Community Theatre Group on SRHR
Using creativity to start conversations that matter.
Theatre, storytelling, Edutainment and Skits provide accessible ways for communities to explore sensitive issues.
Our community theatre activities address topics such as:
- Gender-based violence
- Child rights
- HIV/AIDS
- Gender equality
- Early marriage
- Adolescent health
- Harmful social norms
- Community protection
Creative approaches can help transform difficult conversations into opportunities for reflection, dialogue and action.

Girls Festival 2025: Using Art to Raise Awareness Against Gender-Based Violence
Building on the success of previous editions, Girls Festival 2025 will be a dynamic and colorful, held during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, this festival aims to use creative expression—such as visual arts, theater, dance, poetry, and music—to raise awareness and spark conversations around gender-based violence and girls’ safety.
